Recently, the book “Food Chain Integrity: A holistic approach to food traceability, safety, quality and authenticity” has been published, as a result of 14 European research projects, including the integrated project TRACEBACK coordinated by Tecnoalimenti. The book is edited by Hoorfar, Jordan, Butler and Prugger, with a Foreword of Ms. Maire Geoghegan-Quinn, European Commissioner for Research, and published by Woodhead Publ. Cambridge, UK. Improving the integrity of the food chain – making certain that food is traceable, safe to eat, high quality and genuine – requires new diagnostic tools, the implementation of novel information systems and the cooperation of all food chain players. TRACEBACK research partners contribute with 4 chapters.
